Spring 2008

  • In April 2008 Kelly successfully competed Hollywood at the Rolex Kentucky International 3-Day Event. She finished in 14th place and was double-clear on the Cross Country phase. This was the result of many years of hard work and determination to turn a dream into reality. Congratulations Kelly and Hollywood... you did it!!!

Winter 2007/2008

  • Kelly Sult has been awarded the Beacon Charm Grant and is heading south for a couple months to continue training for the Rolex Kentucky 3 Day Event.

Fall 2007

  • Toby has been started under saddle and is doing wonderfully!
  • Kelly Sult competed successfully at many Horse Trials with multiple horses all season, including NAYRC, Maui Jim, Richland Park and many more. To top off a great season, she took 8th overall at the Fair Hill International CCI*** and 5th for the USA. She was awarded the Markham Trophy for being the top young rider and the Amanda Warrington Trophy for being the top rider in their first CCI***. This is a huge achievement and we’re all so proud of Kelly and her horse Hollywood! Next, Rolex Kentucky in the Spring! Want to help Kelly get there? Call 814 398-9369 and ask for Vita.   • PJ competed with Kelly in his second HT at Stone Gate Farm and finished 6th in the Novice Division. I’m especially proud of PJ for this one because he went double-clear in Stadium and XC! Good job Kelly!
  • HHF acquired 18.5 acres on which we’ll be building our own XC Schooling course!

Summer 2007

  • PJ competed in his first recognized Horse Trials with Kelly, placing 4th in the Novice division at Erie Hunt and Saddle Club Horse Trials.
  • The HHF main barn roof was replaced.
  • The bank of three pastures had drainage installed and were graded and reseeded.
  • HHF got a new horse trailer! It’s a 4 Star Gooseneck 4 Horse Head-to-Head with dressing room. Woo hoo!
  • Kelly Sult took Pirate Jack to a number of hunter/jumper schooling shows which we used as practice for the stadium phase of eventing and mileage to get PJ used to the show atmosphere. Vita showed PJ in some Pleasure classes and showed Toby in 3 shows in hand, where he got a 2nd, 1st and 3rd.
  • Summer Holiday (Holly) and Samwise were purchased by HHF to serve as beginner school horses for the farm’s lesson program.
